We were running late for Jordan's 4 month old well baby visit yesterday thanks to snow a few minutes before we were leaving, a chain reaction car accident and a broken down vehicle in our lane. I was glad Dave went with us because there was no parking at the lot closest to the pediatrician's office, so he dropped us off at the front door and parked in the nearby parking garage. Jordan weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs 10 oz, which means at 4 months and 12 days, she has gained almost 10 lbs since birth. She is also 25" long, putting her at 98% for weight and 89% for height. However, we got some bad news, as well. The good news was that Jordan didn't have to get her 4 month shots yesterday. The bad news is that she has a bronchial condition most likely caused by a mild case of RSV. She is out of daycare for the rest of the week, so I stayed home with her yesterday and am home with her today. I think Dave will have Jordan duty (so to speak) tomorrow and Friday.
The weird thing is that Jordan has never had a high temperature (or even above 98.1) and acts like she feels fine. The cough is bad and we are sucking snot constantly, which makes Jordan so happy. She has started grabbing my hand and digging her little fingernails in as I try to get the sucker in her nose. She had a bit of a rough night but is hanging in there.

I hope she feels better soon!! Still very cute even when she's under the weather!

Hang in there Mom. It will get better. Give her a big hug for us and take care.
yikes, now you have me nervous. lydia has had a cough for two weeks now. no temp or anything..i was going to wait for her one year appointment on feb 4th but maybe i should call. we have had some sleepless nights as well
I just came across your blog through a fellow bloggers page and had to leave a comment. I have a three month old who was jsut diagnosed with the same thing - and she had acted fine as well, no fevers, not at all unhappy. But she has a mild case of RSV and we have been giving her nebulizer treatments for a week now for it. It has helped - her main problem was at night trying to lay flat - I had to put her in her carseat for three nights so she could breathe. But she is way better now, especially after the nebulizer treatments - which are cake - she actually likes to watch the "smoke". My other daughter will be two years old soon and everytime she sees me giving her a treatment she says "Lexi boogies?" Haha. Check us out sometime at www.twoundertwo.blogspot.com. and good luck ~ Christine
well guess what..I took Lydia to the doctor today and she has exactly the same thing! For right now,he wants to give her two more weeks to see if she can get it cleared up on her own. If she gets a fever or has more trouble breathing she has to start those treatments like two under two talked about
